The Budhan Fresh Pack Smart Seal HLP is a Budhan-designed cigarette packing machine that produces resealable smart seal hinge-lid packs in a single machine.
The inner pack can be opened, a cigarette can be taken out, and the pack can be closed again. This helps the cigarettes stay fresh for longer compared with a standard aluminium foil paper bundle that is opened once and cannot be closed again.
Unlike a conventional smart seal configuration that links multiple machines, Fresh Pack combines the packing and sealing process into one integrated machine, driven by servo motors and operated from one operator station.
At the heart of the machine is Budhan’s servo-controlled I-mark foil cutting system. The printed seal foil is registered using its I-mark and cut to the required length, helping maintain consistent foil registration from pack to pack.
Fresh Pack operates at 60–80 packs per minute and supports the same cigarette sizes, collations and box styles as the Budhan Packer HLP2.

The printed seal foil carries a registration mark known as an I-mark. The machine reads this mark and cuts the foil to the required length, helping maintain consistent print and seal positioning from pack to pack.
The integrated machine design also electronically synchronizes the packing and sealing operations within a single machine frame, reducing the need for machine-to-machine transfers and separate operator stations.
